It has been our great joy over the years to lift the bosoms and cover the behinds of many great as well as famous ladies; Madonna, Beth Ditto, Kate Moss, Christina Aguilera, Isabella Blow, Neneh Cherry, Nicola Roberts, Bond girl Eva Green as well as every kind of Show Girl.
We have high ideals of craftsmanship and really enjoy the process of producing what we make on a small scale – and well. We have moved ever further from commercial production this year with our new line in patchwork lingerie. In the words of the late great William Morris “ Give me love and work, these two only”
Making Great British underwear since the turn of the century
All of our underwear is produced entirely in the UK from only the finest materials. We source almost everything we use from British companies and take great joy in finding and incorporating vintage treasures from antique Nottingham laces to hand worked cross stitch tablecloths and quirky retro prints.
We take an old fashioned pride in our workmanship and every care and attention to detail is taken, every bow hand-tied and every bead hand-stitched. We place a strong emphasis on good fit and have developed our shapes over years of working closely with bespoke customers. Handmade in Hackney by hardworking girls
There is a great deal of fulfillment to be had from developing a skill to perfection and we have endeavored to pass this on over the years, running workshops with the Fashion and Textiles Museum as well as the occasional Master Class. We produce much of our work in our workshops in The Politi Turkish Delight Factory in Hackney, North East London and we still have many Vintage Turkish delight tins which we can package your underwear in on special request.
